With the release of Wrath of the lich king, everyone is trying their best to reach the new top level of 80 in World of Warcraft. In an attempt to get there quickly, many are turning to a Northrend leveling guide to level fast in WoW. There are only a few that are worth looking at out of the many leveling guides for Wotlk. Many of them just don't work at all.
What does it take to make a decent Northrend leveling guide? Grinding should not be the guide's only means of leveling. Grinding is killing the same mobs over and over for hours on end to pile up the exp. Who needs a guide to tell them how to do that? The fastest way to level in WoW is not by grinding anyways.
The fastest leveling for Northrend is by questing. You should be able to see what quests need to be done as well as locations to do them from any decent leveling guide. Northrend has two starting zones,
Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra have plenty of quests between them. To level as fast as possible, you need a guide that is created by someone that knows exactly what needs to be done. You won't waste valuable playing time using one of these leveling guides to show you the quickest way to level 80.
The format of the guide is also important. These days, an in-game guide, to go along with a pdf file, is a must have for a decent 70-80 Northrend leveling guide. This allows you to view the guide in the World of Warcraft game interface so you do not have to switch back and forth between the game and PDF file.
These in-game guides also mark your maps with quest givers, quest objectives, quest turn-in locations and give you an arrow next to your character that points you in the right direction. This eliminates so much wasted time from trying to figure out where to go and really gets you moving fast through the quests.
